Youth

When We Meet

We meet every Sunday after church until 1 PM.

Our group regularly reviews what we do and how we meet to make sure it works for everyone. For example, we switched to meeting after church on Sundays this fall after realizing Thursday evenings were tough due to school schedules, rush hour, and after-school exhaustion. This change also makes it easier to attend worship and youth group on the same day. We’re always open to adjusting as needs change.

What We’re About

Our youth group welcomes all youth from 6th to 12th grade where we create a mix of making friends, building community, bible study, serving others, learning skills, practicing leadership, and building confidence in a safe place.

Visiting for the First Time?

Look for the youth room door marked with a sign—you’re always welcome to come in.
You’ve probably met one of our youth or sponsors, who will guide you to the room.
If you see people chatting, it means we’re still gathering, and we’ll start soon.
Everyone is welcome to participate at their own pace. You can join a game or discussion—or simply observe. It’s okay to say “pass” anytime.
We value everyone’s voice, so discussions and feedback are an important part of what we do. We’d love to hear your thoughts as a visitor!

Retreats

Our youth participate in the two annual retreats to help strengthen their faith and build relationships with other followers of Christ.

Youth Main Event at John Knox Ranch

Main Event is a weekend-long retreat that occurs in the fall of each year at John Knox Ranch for youth in grades 6-12.  The youth explore scripture and dive deeper into the theme of that year's event.  There is also plenty of time for outdoor activities and games to help build and foster lasting relationships with both old and new friends.

Midwinters at Mo Ranch

Midwinters is a weekend-long retreat/conference at the beginning of each year for youth in grades 6-12.  It is a great time for the youth and their adult sponsors to play, pray and refresh. During the event, Small Groups provide time for the kids to get to know other youth and explore scripture together. Keynote speakers help foster discussion and dig into the scriptures and theme of the event while music and recreation help round out the large group gatherings. There is also free time that allows the youth to explore Mo-Ranch and enjoying time with friends.

Our Mission

Mission Work

We feel that it’s very important for our youth to learn to serve God by serving others and therefore try to seek out mission outreach opportunities regularly.

Our High School youth also have the opportunity to venture out to serve during our annual week-long youth mission trip, where we look for opportunities for them to experience serving in different environments so they can see the needs of those in other cities as well as in our own backyard.
