Children
At Grace, we want your children to experience an engaging, life-changing message from God's Word in a way that they can understand, no matter what their age. GOD (God's Outstanding Disciples) Squad is an educational and fellowship program that will help your kids grow in faith and live as amazing disciples of Jesus!
GOD Squad is Grace's program for children from birth through fifth grade. Our small group, flexible program serves kids in a family-style environment that meets their diverse needs while sharing important truths about God's love.
Sunday Morning Programming
For those in preschool and below, we offer flexible childcare: children can be dropped off in the childcare room prior to the start of the church service, or they can accompany their family to the start of worship and leave before the sermon with the GOD Squad. They'll be escorted to the childcare room to hear a Bible story and play with friends until the church service is over.
For kids in kindergarten through fifth grade, the GOD Squad gathers at the front of church after the first song. After leaving the church service together, GOD Squad members hear the same Bible story that's being read and studied in the main church service and participate in a hands-on activity to help them experience and internalize the main idea of the day. They're also encouraged to spend time in fellowship with each other, building meaningful relationships that make going to church an experience they'll anticipate.
Of course, kids are always welcome to stay with their families during church, but we hope that offering programming specific to their needs will help kids to be fully engaged in worship, internalize the message, and build relationships with their peers in church to form a strong and lasting community.
Additional Fellowship Opportunities
​Throughout the year, children are invited to participate in many additional fellowship activities. Our annual Easter Eggstravaganza and Community Christmas Village offer opportunities for kids and their families to enjoy games and crafts. Grace also hosts a weeklong daytime Vacation Bible School every summer, where kids from preschool through fifth grade have a blast spending time together and learning about God's love for them. For church members and regular attendees, we also offer whole-church fellowship activities like swimming parties and service projects and provide special Kids' Night Out events just for those in K-5th grade.
