MINISTRY TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Building and Beautification Team( Richard Willis, chair): responsible for our building reflecting who we are as a church and ensuring that we have the facilities to effectively carry out our ministry
a. Coordinate the cleaning of the building with the cleaning service
b. Coordinate all maintenance, repairs and rennovation on the building
c. Educate the congregation on lights, air conditioning, and locking of the building
d. Coordinate the decoration of the building for Christmas
e. Coordinate all indoor signage
2. Discipleship (Connie Roalson): responsible for coordinating activities to encourage spiritual formation and growth of our congregation. Dividing into three sub teams:
A. Adult Discipleship (Don Moore, coordinator)
a. Coordinate Sunday Classes and midweek classes, including recruiting teachers and choosing curriculum
b. Coordinate participation in Walk to Emmaus
c. Coordinate Intergenerational Activities (Advent Festival, Lenten activities)
d. Coordinate small group ministry
e. Coordinate Men’s and Women’s discipleship groups and retreats
B. Youth Ministry (Ken and Brenda Krusely, coordinators)
a. Coordinate Sunday and midweek classes for youth.
b. Coordinate participation in Mid Winter conferences at Mo Ranch
c. Coordinate confirmation classes
d. Coordinate annual mission trip in cooperation with Mission Ministry Team
e. Coordinate fellowship activities
f. Coordinate Youth Sunday worship services
g. Recognize graduating seniors in worship, including slide show presentation
C. Children’s Ministry Team (Donna Lecocq, coordinator)
- Coordinate Sunday and midweek classes, including recruiting teachers and choosing curriculum
- Coordinate children’s drama for worship
- Coordinate special fellowship activities for children
- Coordinate mission activities for children
e. Coordinate Kids Night Out
3. Communications Team (Janet McLaughlin, chair): responsible for facilitating communication within and outside of Grace
a. Coordinate the publication of the newsletter
b. Coordinate the web site
c. Help various teams in their publications
d. Coordinate the picture directory
4. Fellowship Team (Nancy Hunter, chair): responsible for encouraging and building relationships within the Grace family
- Coordinate meals (Wed night meals and special church wide meals)
- Coordinate recreation events
c. Coordinate all church retreats and camp outs
d. Coordinate monthly fellowship events for the congregation
- Coordinate first Sunday meals.
5. Grounds Team (Henry Dominguez, chair): responsible for our grounds reflecting who we are as a church
- Coordinate all landscape and lawn care
b. Coordinate the Memorial Gardens
c. Coordinate outdoor decorations
d. Coordinate all outdoor signage
6.Health Ministry Team (Shirlee Peterson, chair): responsible for encouraging the Grace community to choose healthy lifestyles, encompassing body, mind and spirit.
a. Coordinate blood pressure screenings
b. Coordinate classes which addresses issues of health and wholeness
c. Coordinate activities to encourage physical activities
d. Coordinate sports teams
7. Mission Team (Nancy Porche, chair): responsible for facilitating and encouraging the Grace community to live out their faith by serving others in the community and the world.
a. Coordinate ministry with Round Rock Caregivers
b. Coordinate ministry with the Round Rock Serving Center
c. Coordinate ministry with Habitat for Humanity, Round Rock
d. Coordinate ministry with Cancer Connection
e. Coordinate the planning, recruiting, and carrying out mission trips
f. Coordinate receiving of special mission offerings
g. Coordinate mission trip in conjunction with Youth Ministry Team.
8. Outreach Team (Lou Ann Moore, chair): responsible for helping us invite others to join our faith community
a. Coordinate all publicity
b. Coordinate the welcoming of all visitors
c. Coordinate new member opportunities
d. Coordinate events to bring people onto our church property
d. Ensure that the policy manual is up to date
10. Stewardship Team (Matt Mereness, chair): responsible for helping to make wise use of all our gifts
a. Coordinate the receiving and reporting of weekly offerings
b. Prepare monthly financial reports
c. Coordinate stewardship education
d. Coordinate annual pledge drive
e. Coordinate capital campaigns
f. Coordinate the identification and giving of our time and talents
g. Inform Session teams of people who have particular interests
11. Worship Team (Jimmy Guckian, chair): responsible for coordinating all aspects of worship
a. Coordinate all lay leaders for worship
b. Organize the celebration of communion
c. Coordinate all visual arts for sanctuary
d. Coordinate all special worship services
e. Coordinate the music ministry
f. Coordinate ushers for worship services
g. Coordinate worship planning
