This Sunday our youth will be leading worship, from Luke 15:11-32, the story of the prodigal son, and Esther 4:1-4. Communion will be celebrated at both the 9 and 11 am worship services.  They will be sharing with us their experiences on their Mission Trip to Mescalero, New Mexico and to Triennium.

 Scouts
BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA - For almost 100 years, Scouting programs have instilled in youth the values found in the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Today, these values are just as relevant in helping youth grow to their full potential as they were in 1910. Scouting helps youth develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills that influence their adult lives.

The Boy Scouts of America provides youth with programs and activities that allow them to
  • Try new things.
  • Provide service to others.
  • Build self-confidence.
  • Reinforce ethical standards.

All Cub Scouts and their families are welcome to the Pack Meetings once a month, usually on the 3rd or 4th Thursday at Grace Presbyterian Church.
Each grade level has a Den that meet every 1-2 weeks.
Cub Scouting is a family-oriented program designed specifically to address the needs of younger boys and is led by adult leaders.
Since its beginning, the Cub Scout program has been a fun and educational experience concerned with values. Besides providing a positive place where boys can enjoy safe, wholesome activities, Cub Scouting focuses on building character, improving physical fitness, teaching practical skills, and developing a spirit of community service.
Annual events include: Fall & Spring Family Campouts, Pinewood Derby, Report to State Parade, Blue & Gold Banquet, Summer Day Camp, Popcorn Sales

Boy Scouts meet every Sunday unless it's the weekend of the monthly campout.
Available to boys who have earned the Arrow of Light Award and are at least 10 years old or have completed the fifth grade and are at least 10, or who are 11, but not yet 18 years old. The program achieves the BSA's objectives of developing character, citizenship, and personal fitness.
Boy Scouting is designed to achieve the aims of Scouting through a vigorous outdoor program and peer group leadership with the counsel of an adult Scoutmaster. Boy Scouts is a boy led program - while adults serve as key leaders, Boy Scouts hold leadership positions and plan the troop's program.
Events include: monthly campouts, Report to State Parade, Popcorn Sales, Merit Badge University, Summer Camp

Crew 1145 – Venture Scouts are for boys and girls ages 14-21

Venture Scouts meet - TBD
Venturing provides positive experiences through exciting and meaningful youth-run activities that help members pursue their special interests, grow by teaching others, and develop leadership skills.
One of the strengths of the Venturing program is its ability to meet the interests of all Venturers. Sometimes Venturers like to investigate new, different areas. Variety in a crew always seems to make it more fun to go to meetings and outings. Also, Venturers probably have many interests or would like to have more. Because of that desire, and to provide a pathway to many different experiences, the Venturing awards program is offered.
Crew 1145 activity plans include: camping, rock climbing, canoeing, and other outdoor activities as well as service projects in the community.

Girls Scouts as an organization is run a little differently than Boy Scouts. They are not chartered by an organization. There are several Troops, however, that do meet at Grace.
