MINISTRY TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Building Beautification Team: responsible for our building reflecting who we are as a church and ensuring we have the facilities to effectively carry out our ministry.
· Coordinate the cleaning of the building with the cleaning service
· Coordinate all maintenance, repairs and renovation of existing buildings.
· Educate the congregation on lights, air conditioning, and locking of the building
· Coordinate the decoration of the building for Christmas
· Coordinate all indoor signage
B. Adult Discipleship Team: responsible for coordinating activities to encourage the spiritual formation of adults in our congregation.
· Coordinates Sunday School Classes and midweek classes, including recruitment of teachers and choice of curriculum
· Coordinates participation in the Walk to Emmaus
· Coordinate small group ministry
· Coordinate Men's and Women's discipleship groups and retreats
C. Youth Ministry Team: responsible for coordinating activities to encourage the spiritual formation of the youth in our congregation (Grades 6-12)
· Coordinates Sunday School Classes and midweek classes for youth
· Coordinates participation in mid-Winter conferences at Mo Ranch
· Coordinates confirmation classes
· Coordinates annual mission trip in cooperation with Mission Team
· Coordinates fellowship activities
D. Children's Ministry (infants-5th grade): responsible for coordinating activities to encourage the spiritual formation of the children in our congregation
· Coordinate Sunday and midweek classes, including recruitment of teachers and choosing curriculum
· Coordinate children's drama in worship
· Coordinate children's fellowship activities
· Coordinate children's mission activities
· Coordinates Kids Night Out
· Coordinates Vacation Bible School
E. Fellowship Team: responsible for encouraging relationships within the Grace family.
· Coordinate all meals (Wed night meals and special church wide meals)
· Coordinate recreation events
· Coordinate all church camp outs and retreats
· Coordinate First Sunday Meals Out
· Coordinate intergenerational activities (Advent Festival, Lenten Festival)
F. Grounds Team: responsible for our grounds reflecting who we are as a church. The grounds at Grace Presbyterian Church should reflect and coordinate with the city and the community. Visitors to the church should view the facilities as a place that is a safe and a pleasant place to worship, to learn, to play, and to commune with others. Buildings, facilities, and landscape that are well-maintained reflect upon our willingness to be good stewards of what God has provided for us
· Ensure the safety of the grounds by eliminating hazards that might cause an accident or injury to any member of the congregation or any visitor.
· Ensure the cleanliness (free of trash and debris) of all of the grounds including the playgrounds and the memorial gardens.
· Ensure that the landscape around the sanctuary, church house, and portables is watered regularly and maintained.
· Coordinate the communication the lawn maintenance contractor and make recommendations concerning the bi-weekly maintenance of the lawn.
· Coordinate with other landscape or construction venders as needed.
· Ensure the church grounds are maintained when special events occur, such as weddings and funerals.
· Coordinate with the Building Beautification Team when situations may overlap.
G. Health Ministry Team: responsible for encouraging the Grace community to choose healthy lifestyles, encompassing body, mind and spirit.
· Coordinate blood pressure screenings
· Coordinate classes which addresses issues of health and wholeness
· Coordinate activities to encourage physical activity
· Coordinate sports teams
H. Mission Team: responsible for facilitating and encouraging the Grace community to live out their faith by serving others in the community and the world.
· Coordinate ministry with Round Rock Faith in Action Caregivers
· Coordinate ministry with Round Rock Area Serving Center
· Coordinate ministry with Round Rock Habitat for Humanity
· Coordinate ministry with Cancer Connection
· Coordinate the planning, recruiting, and carrying out of mission trips
· Coordinate the receiving of special offerings for mission
· Coordinate the Pumpkin Patch annually
I. Inviting, Welcoming, and Involving Team: responsible for helping us invite others to join our faith community, welcome when they come, and involve them in the life of the congregation as they join
· Coordinate the welcoming of all visitors
· Coordinate new member opportunities
· Coordinate events to bring people onto our church property
· Coordinate opportunities for public awareness of Grace via community events such as July4th parade and Christmas event in downtown Round Rock.
· Coordinate a special friend for each new member
J. Staff Support: ensures staff has proper support to fulfill their responsibilities Ensures staff receives all benefits as outlines in their contract
· Hire, evaluate, and support all staff.
· Hire and schedule all child care givers, including volunteers
· Ensure that the policy manual is up to date.
K. Stewardship Team: responsible for helping to make wise use of all our gifts
· Coordinates with the church treasurer
· Coordinates the receiving and reporting of weekly offerings
· Prepare monthly financial reports
· Coordinate stewardship education
· Coordinate annual pledge drive
· Coordinate capital campaigns
· Coordinate the identification and giving of our time and talents
· Coordinates annual audit
L. Worship Team: responsible for coordinating all aspects of worship
· Coordinate all lay leaders for worship
· Organize and prepare the celebration of communion
· Coordinate all visual arts for the sanctuary
· Coordinate all special worship services
· Coordinate the music ministry
· Coordinate ushers
· Coordinate worship planning
