Boy Scouts of America
Troop 1145
Chartered by Grace Presbyterian Church
Round Rock, Texas
The objectives of the Boy Scouts of America are to develop character, citizen, and personal fitness. Troop 1145 will follow the objectives of the BSA while encouraging its members to explore their faith.
Boy Scouts is available to boys who are 11 to 18 years of age or 10 years of age who have earned the “Arrow of Light” Award (GPCTroop1145WebInfoSheet) while in Webelos. We have enthusiastic and experienced leadership, strong support from our charter organization, Grace Presbyterian Church, and are excited to help boys have an exciting Scouting experience! The Troop meets on Sunday evenings at 7:00 p.m. with merit badge classes starting at 6:30 p.m. unless otherwise posted.
We have special activities – typically scheduled (114507-08Calendar.doc) once a month. These activities include camping, hiking, rock climbing and more! We also have access to summer and winter camp programs endorsed by the BSA.
Boy Scout Troops are “boy led”, meaning the meetings and activities are planned, organized and conducted by the boys. Adult Leaders are present to mentor, teach and train the boys to lead the Troop. These leadership skills will benefit the boys for the rest of their lives! The cost to join Troop 1145 and yearly dues are $58.00 for new Scouts and $55.00 for Scouts transferring from another troop. Additional costs are uniform, scout handbook and special activities. Please contact us if you have any questions.
